Empowering 115 educators, impacting over 2,200 students!

By enhancing English instruction, we’re not just teaching a language—we’re opening doors to future opportunities and helping to reduce dropout rates.

On September 15, 2024, TDSO celebrated a milestone in Cambodia’s education landscape as 115 dedicated educators graduated from four transformative programs:
• 32 from Interactive Teacher Training-Siem Reap (ITTSR): Enhancing interactive teaching methods for NGO and local community schools
• 30 from English for Public Primary Schools (EPPS): Teaching methodologies tailored for primary school English instruction
• 47 from English for Teachers (EFT): Boosting overall English proficiency for teachers
• 6 from our innovative Language Buddies program: Connecting mentors (native speakers) with early-career teachers for real-world practice

The challenge: Cambodia faces a primary school dropout rate of 50.56%, with low English proficiency among students and limited teaching methodologies among teachers as contributing factors.

Our solution: Equipping teachers with advanced skills and methodologies to make English education more engaging and effective.

The impact: These 115 graduates will directly benefit over 2,200 students, aligning with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (Cambodia)‘s National Strategic Plan to strengthen English language education in primary schools.
