Public primary schools in Cambodia offer a four-hour-per-day program. That means that children go to school for only half a day, and that’s not enough!
In collaboration with the MoEYS Cambodia, we are determined to support the transition to full-day primary schools.
Two schools in Siem Reap province are pioneering this change: Prei Chruk and Prasat Primary Schools. While this represents just 2 out of 525 schools in the province, it marks a crucial beginning.
This transformation includes English language learning. TDSO – Teacher Development Support Organization will actively and continuously support all teachers in these two schools.
22 dedicated teachers from Prei Chruk and Prasat Primary Schools are embarking on our 40-week English for Public School Teachers program.
This training will equip the teachers with:
• Advanced English language proficiency
• Modern pedagogical approaches
• Educational technology skills
• Improved classroom management techniques
TDSO will also provide ongoing classroom support through our coaching team.
This pilot program aims to create a model for nationwide implementation, moving Cambodian education toward international standards.
TDSO is not just dreaming of a better education; we’re building it, one school at a time.
