Reflections on Teacher Training and Capacity Development in Kralanh, Siem Reap

On December 27, 2024, our Mid-Course Reflection Workshop in Kralanh, Siem Reap brought together 51 dedicated educators – school principals, district officials, and program partners – to review the English Teaching Methodology program. With teachers from 36 primary schools, we’re seeing encouraging changes in classrooms across the district.

“I can see how teaching has shifted from traditional to interactive approaches. Our students are now speaking English with their friends in the schoolyard,” shares one of our school principals, showing just how far we’ve come.

Local support runs deep. Mr Tath Mean, Deputy Governor of Kralanh District, put it simply: “I strongly support TDSO’s project implementation by any means.”

Based on the feedback from principals, teachers, and education authorities at the workshop, we can see how new teaching methods are sparking excitement in classrooms. We’re not just teaching English; we’re opening new paths for rural students.

Our partnership with Aide et Action SEA-Cambodia has been instrumental in supporting this initiative, ensuring impactful teacher training and sustainable outcomes in rural education.
