Job Announcement: PLC Coordinator

TDSO is seeking a PLC Coordinator to lead the setup and ongoing management of its Professional Learning Communities programme for English teachers in Siem Reap Province. This is a full-time position based in Siem Reap, with regular travel to schools and districts.

About the Programme

TDSO is implementing a PLC programme that supports English teachers in district-based cluster groups, each led by a PLC Lead Teacher. The programme aims to deepen English teaching practice and support the transfer of communicative, learner-centred approaches across subjects. It aligns with the MoEYS PLC Guidelines (2021) and launches in Siem Reap Province in 2026, with expansion to additional provinces from late 2026.

The Role

The PLC Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management and quality assurance of the programme across all active clusters. This includes identifying and training PLC Lead Teachers, providing regular coaching and support, monitoring cluster quality, and managing relationships with school directors and District Offices of Education (DOEs). A central part of the role is managing a structured three-year process through which coaching responsibility is progressively transferred to DOEs. The postholder reports to the Director of Teacher Training.

What We Are Looking For

Candidates should have at least 3 years of experience in teacher training or the implementation of education programmes, and a demonstrated ability to coach or mentor practitioners. A solid understanding of the Cambodian education system and familiarity with government education structures are required. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, as is a willingness to travel regularly within the province. Proficiency in Khmer and English is required. A degree in education or a related field is required; experience with school-based professional development models is an advantage.
