🎤 From Oral Stories to Digital Stories: Practical Storytelling Ideas for Elementary and Secondary EFL Classrooms
Storytelling is one of the most powerful tools for language learning. In this practical workshop, participants will explore a range of storytelling activities that support speaking, listening, vocabulary development, learner confidence, and autonomy. The session will also demonstrate how these activities can be extended through simple digital tools, making them suitable for both face-to-face and online teaching contexts.
👨🏫 About the Presenter
Herman Bartelen is an educator and writer based in Japan with over 40 years of teaching experience. He has authored more than 15 EFL textbooks and delivered more than 60 workshops across Japan, the Philippines, Laos, and Hong Kong. He holds an MA in TESOL from the University of Birmingham, UK, and is currently affiliated with Ryutsu Keizai University and Daito Bunka University, Japan.
