An update on our collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (Cambodia)

A delegation of TDSO met with Mr. Kann Puthy, who leads primary education at Cambodia’s Ministry of Education. We agreed on three further steps to improve English teaching across the country:

1. We’ll work to get our teacher training courses officially recognized by the Ministry. This means teachers who complete the courses can earn credits toward promotions and better pay.
2. All our teaching materials will be shared on Cambodia’s national teaching platform, making them freely available to teachers everywhere.
3. We’re partnering with teacher training colleges to develop a new English teaching program. This will help ensure new teachers are confident and well-prepared to teach English from their first day in the classroom.

These changes will help build stronger English language skills for Cambodia’s next generation!

The Ministry also expressed gratitude towards our efforts to support schools transitioning from half-day to full-day education.
