On 27 October 2025, TDSO – Teacher Development Support Organization kicked off a new teacher training cohort for public primary school teachers at Hun Sen Komrou Primary School (បឋមហ៊ុនសែនគំរូ), Chi Kraeng District, Siem Reap.
180 English teachers from 69 public schools are participating in two TDSO teacher training programmes accredited by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS Cambodia):1. EPPS – English for Public Primary School Teachers – 4 credits, focusing on English teaching pedagogy.
2. EFT – English for Teachers – 4 credits, focusing on strengthening English proficiency for teachers.
The launch was presided over by Mrs Yuk Sokunveary, Head of the Continuous Professional Development Management Office, representing the Department of Teacher Development (នាយកដ្ឋានកិច្ចការវិក្រឹតការ TDD), MoEYS, alongside representatives from the Siem Reap Provincial Department of Education, Chi Kraeng District authorities, and school principals.
Since 2017, TDSO has trained over 600 public primary school teachers across Siem Reap Province. With official permission and recognition from MoEYS, TDSO will expand the training nationwide in early 2026, further strengthening English teaching quality in public primary schools.
