TEACHER TRAINER (2 positions)
TDSO | Cambodia (National Deployment – Based in Pursat and Preah Vihear)
Position Overview
TDSO is recruiting an additional 2 Teacher Trainers to support the nationwide rollout of English teacher training programs across 18 provinces in Cambodia. These trainers will play a key role in enhancing the capacity of public teacher training institutions (PTTCs, RTTCs, NIEs) through direct delivery of training, mentoring, and classroom support.
All selected trainers will participate in a centralised pre-deployment training and onboarding in Siem Reap, starting January 2, 2026, before relocating to their assigned provinces in April 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Facilitation
• Deliver interactive and practice-based training sessions to public school teachers
• Support weekly in-class and workshop-based learning using national curricula and TDSO’s methodology
• Facilitate both online and face-to-face components of the training program
Teacher Support & Coaching
• Provide mentoring and classroom coaching to public school teachers
• Observe lessons, give feedback, and support teacher reflection and professional growth
• Encourage peer collaboration and sharing among teacher groups
Monitoring & Reporting
• Collect attendance, performance data, and training feedback
• Document success stories, challenges, and learning moments from the field
• Report regularly to the Project Coordinator and Project Manager
Collaboration & Institutional Engagement
• Work closely with teacher training institution staff and provincial education departments
• Participate in monthly coordination meetings and refresher workshops
• Support alignment between TDSO methodology and national teacher development frameworks
Required Qualifications
Essential
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English Teaching, TESOL, or related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience (public or private sector)
• Experience delivering teacher training, workshops, or coaching
• Fluency in Khmer and excellent command of English (spoken and written)
• Willingness to be based full-time in one of 18 provinces after onboarding in Siem Reap
Preferred
• Certification in teaching English (e.g., CELTA, TEFL, TESOL)
• Experience in public education, NGO, or professional development programs
• Familiarity with blended or flipped learning models
• Digital literacy (Zoom, Microsoft 365, email communication, etc.)
Working Conditions
• Full-time contract
• Based in the assigned province (after onboarding), with support from a regional office and Project Coordinator
• Onboarding and induction training held in Siem Reap: starting January 2, 2026
• Occasional travel for coordination meetings and training workshops
