This online professional learning workshop supports English teachers to move beyond basic comprehension and systematically develop higher-order thinking skills in everyday classroom practice. Led by Ms Phyuu Thet Paing, the session offers practical, low-preparation strategies that enable teachers to upgrade common reading, vocabulary, and speaking activities from lower-order to higher-order thinking. Designed for real classroom contexts, the workshop focuses on small, achievable adjustments that strengthen learner engagement and cognitive depth without increasing workload. Participants will leave with immediately applicable techniques aligned with effective English language teaching practice.

TDSO is offering a free, in-person, multi-day workshop on Brain-Based Teaching, designed for English teachers seeking to strengthen everyday classroom practice. Delivered over multiple sessions at the TDSO campus, the programme draws on evidence-informed approaches to help teachers better understand how students learn and how this knowledge can be applied in real classroom contexts. The workshop focuses on practical application, supporting teachers to respond to diverse learning needs while maintaining high levels of engagement and effective teaching practice.
